DINAMIKA PERCERAIAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN EMOSI REMAJA DI DUSUN II DESA MULIO REJO KECAMATAN SUNGGAL KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the frequency of divorce in Dusun II, Mulio Rejo Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency; (2) to examine how parental divorce occurs in Dusun II, Mulio Rejo Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency; (3) to find out how the emotional development of adolescents in Dusun II, Mulio Rejo Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency takes place; and (4) to analyze how parental divorce affects the emotional development of adolescents in Dusun II, Mulio Rejo Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques consisting of (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) document study. The results of this study indicate that the dynamics of parental divorce have a significant impact on the emotional development of adolescents in Dusun II, Mulio Rejo Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. The frequency of divorce is considered quite high, reaching 11.67%. The causes of parental divorce include infidelity, economic problems, lack of communication, and verbal abuse. The emotional development of adolescents tends to become more fragile, easily angered, and withdrawn. They often disobey, find it difficult to accept advice, and add to the tension at home. This shows the emotional wounds caused by parental separation. The impacts include emotional instability, low self-esteem, social withdrawal, and vulnerability to negative peer groups.
