Focus and Scope

Education is part of the social process, and is one of the basic human needs. As a basic need, education is as important as the need for food and drink. But education in the modern era requires an interactive work system that covers many fields even though the system still leaves a gap for improvisation. So, it is not the result of a rigid standard system, which does not see the reality on the ground and how quickly the community develops and changes. for that we need a place to develop the quality of education, and one of them is the publication of scientific papers.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

 

Author Guidelines

Manageria: Jurnal Ilmu Keislaman

Papers submitted for publication must conform to the following guidelines:

  • Article consists of title, name of author, affiliation, abstract (Indonesian and English), keywords, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and references (Template).
  • Papers should discuss the themes of Islamic Education Management or Leadership, Pesantren, Madrasa, or Islamic School Management, written either in Indonesian, English or Arabic;
  • Papers must be typed in one-half spaced on A4-paper size;
  • Papers’ length is about 6,000-10,000 words;
  • All submission must include a 150-200 word abstract;
  • Full name(s) of the author(s) must be stated, along with his/her/their institution
  • All submission should be in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect document file format;
  • Arabic words should be transliterated according to the style of Mc Gill University;
  • Bibliographical reference must be noted in footnote and bibliography according to Chichago Manual style.
  • When a source is cited for the first time, full information is provided: full name(s) of author(s), title of the source in italic, place of publication, publishing company, date of publication, and the precise page that is cited. For the following citations of the same source, list the author’s last name, two or three words of the title, and the specific page number(s). The word ibid. may be used, but op.cit., and loc.cit. are not.

Please consider the following creteria:

  • The title of the article submitted to Manageria: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam should reflect a specific focus of study, based on researches--be they library or fieldwork researches--and thus the author can have a general statement and sub-title specifically confining the scope of study
  • The article submitted should be based on research--be it library or fieldwork or other kinds of researches
  • The article should present bibliography which entails primary sources--books, manuscripts, interviews, or observation--and updated secondary sources from books or peer reviewed journals
  • The article should contain an argument/thesis/finding which contribute to scholarly discussion in a field of study which should clearly be mentioned and systematically presented in abstract, content, and conclusion
  • The article should use good Indonesia/English/Arabic, or at least can be understood; the author is fully responsible in fixing and editing language; the copy editor of Manageria: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam is responsible only for minor typos and understandable grammatical errors.
  • The style and format, including the structure of article, footnotes, bibliography, should follow those of Manageria
  • The template of Manageria article in word document format is available for download here.

 NOTE: It is suggested the use of a reference manager at styling the footnote and the bibliography, such as ZoteroMendeley, et cetera.

Proses Peer Review

This journal contains scientific articles about Islamic religious science written by college lecturers of Dharmawangsa University Medan Faculty of Islamic Religion. Hopefully this journal provides information for the community and useful for the development of insight, science improvement for all of us and our devotion to Allah SWT.

The entire article will be review at least two reviewers, and the results of the review will be published after approval from the board of editors.

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.

Promptness

Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

Confidentiality

Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

 

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Almufida is published two times a year (January-June and July-December).

 

 

Plagiarism

Jurnal Almufida as a respected national journal, wants to ensure that all authors are careful and comply with international standards for academic integrity, particularly on the issue of plagiarism.


Plagiarism occurs when an author takes ideas, information, or words from another source without proper credit to the source. Even when it occurs unintentionally, plagiarism is still a serious academic violation, and unacceptable in international academic publications.


When the author learns specific information (a name, date, place, statistical number, or other detailed information) from a specific source, a citation is required. (This is only forgiven in cases of general knowledge, where the data is readily available in more than five sources or is common knowledge, e.g., the fact that Indonesia is the most populous Muslim country in the world.)


When the author takes an idea from another author, a citation is required—even if the author then develops the idea further. This might be an idea about how to interpret the data, either what methodology to use or what conclusion to draw. It might be an idea about broad developments in a field or general information. Regardless of the idea, authors should cite their sources. In cases where the author develops the idea further, it is still necessary to cite the original source of the idea, and then in a subsequent sentence the author can explain her or his more developed idea.


When the author takes words from another author, a citation and quotation marks are required. Whenever four or more consecutive words are identical to a source that the author has read, the author must use quotation marks to denote the use of another author’s original words; just a citation is no longer enough.

ETIKA PENERBITAN

Jurnal ini berisi tulisan atau artikel ilmiah ilmu-ilmu keislaman, baik berupa telah konseptual, hasil penelitian, telah buku dan biografi tokohPernyataan kode etik ilmiah ini merupakan pernyataan kode etik semua pihak yang terlibat dalam proses publikasi jurnal ilmiah ini yaitu pengelola, editor, mitra bestari/reviewer, dan pengarang/penulis. Pada intinya Kode Etika Publikasi Ilmiah ini menjunjung tiga nilai etik dalam publikasi, yaitu

  1. Kenetralan, yakni bebas dari pertentangan kepentingan dalam pengelolaan publikasi;
  2. Keadilan, yakni memberikan hak kepengarangan kepada yang berhak sebagai pengarang/penulis; dan
  3. Kejujuran, yakni bebas dari duplikasi, fabrikasi, falsifikasi, dan plagiarisme (DF2P) dalam publikasi.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Chief Editor :

  1. Menentukan nama jurnal, lingkup keilmuan, keberkalaan, dan akreditasi apabila diperlukan.
  2. Menentukan keanggotaan editor.
  3. Mendefinisikan hubungan antara penerbit, editor, mitra bestari, dan pihak lain.
  4. Menghargai hal-hal yang bersifat rahasia, baik untuk peneliti yang berkontribusi, pengarang/penulis, editor, maupun mitra bestari.
  5. Menerapkan norma dan ketentuan mengenai hak atas kekayaan intelektual, khususnya hak cipta.
  6. Melakukan telaah kebijakan jurnal dan menyampaikannya kepada pengarang/penulis, editor, mitra bestari, dan pembaca.
  7. Membuat panduan kode berperilaku bagi editor dan mitra bestari.
  8. Mempublikasikan jurnal secara teratur.

  Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Editor

  1. Editor memberikan komentar terhadap tulisan penulis agar pembaca dapat mengerti apa yang ingin disampaikan penulis, melalui komentar yang dituliskan pada naskah dan atau fasilitas diskusi di website jurnal.
  2. Editor memberikan komentar terhadap tulisan penulis sesuai dengan bahasa EYD (Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan) ataupun  bahasa yang sesuai dengan standarisasi dari jurnal.
  3. Editor mengupayakan peningkatan mutu publikasi secara berkelanjutan;
  4. Editor mengedepankan kebebasan berpendapat secara objektif,
  5. Editor menyampaikan koreksi, klarifikasi, penarikan, dan permintaan maaf apabila diperlukan,
  6. Editor memastikan bahwa tulisan penulis tidak menyangkut SARA atau apapun yang dapat merugikan Penerbit serta mengkoordinasikan tulisan penulis kepada pimpinan redaksi penerbit apabila tulisan tersebut sedikit kontroversial.
  7. Editor menerima, menelaah, dan menindaklanjuti keluhan dari seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam penerbitan jurnal;
  8. Editor mendukung inisiatif untuk mendidik peneliti tentang etika publikasi,
  9. Editor tidak mempertahankan pendapat sendiri, pengarang atau pihak ketiga yang dapat mengakibatkan keputusan tidak objektif,
  10. Editor mendorong pengarang/penulis, supaya dapat melakukan perbaikan karya tulis hingga layak terbit.
  11. Editor melakukan layout naskah yang  akan diterbitkan sehingga sesuai dengan template jurnal.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Mitra Bestari

  1. Memberikan umpan balik tertulis yang obyektif dan tanpa bias mengenai nilai keilmiahan dan sumbangsih naskah terhadap pengembangan ilmu;
  2. Menunjukkan apakah penulisan naskah cukup jelas, lengkap, serta relevan, dan apakah naskah sesuai dengan lingkup jurnal;
  3. Tidak memberikan kritik atau komentar yang bersifat personal; dan
  4. Menjaga kerahasiaan naskah, dengan cara tidak membicarakannya dengan pihak yang tidak terkait, atau membeberkan informasi yang terdapat di dalam naskah kepada pihak lain.

Tugas dan Tanggung Jawab Administrator Website

Administrator Website adalah orang yang bertanggung jawab atas pengelolaan website jurnal. Secara spesifik, lingkup tugas Administrator Website adalah sebagai berikut:

  1. Menyiapkan situs web jurnal;
  2. Mengkonfigurasi opsi-opsi sistem dan mengelola akun user;
  3. Melakukan pendaftaran untuk editor, reviewer, dan penulis;
  4. Mengelola fitur-fitur jurnal;
  5. Melihat statistik laporan;
