PENGARUH KEGIATAN PRAMUKA DAN PEMAHAMAN KEBANGSAAN TERHADAP KARAKTER SISWA KELAS VIII H DI UPT SMPN 25 MEDAN

Abstract


This study aims to examine the influence of scouting activities and national awareness on the character of eighth-grade students at the UPT SMPN 25 Medan. The approach used was quantitative with a correlative research method. Data collection was conducted using a closed-ended questionnaire on a Likert scale, the validity and reliability of which were tested. The data were analyzed using SPSS with multiple linear regression. The results showed that both scouting activities and national awareness significantly influenced student character. Simultaneous tests also showed that both variables significantly influenced student character, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.530. This means that 53% of student character is influenced by scouting activities and national awareness, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These results highlight the importance of integrating scouting activities and national education for the holistic and sustainable development of student character.
