Edukasi Integrated Farming Berkelanjutan bagi Generasi Muda

Sektor pertanian memiliki peran vital dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, namun menghadapi tantangan serius berupa menurunnya minat generasi muda, degradasi lingkungan, dan rendahnya pemahaman terhadap praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Menjawab permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan Edukasi Integrated Farming Berkelanjutan bagi Generasi Muda dilaksanakan untuk memperkuat kapasitas dan kesadaran ekologis siswa SMA/SMK di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sebagai calon pelaku pertanian masa depan. Mitra pengabdian adalah Joglo Tani Indonesia, berlokasi di Dusun Mandungan I, Kalurahan Margoluwih, Kapanewon Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, yang menerapkan sistem pertanian terpadu berbasis keterpaduan tanaman, peternakan, dan perikanan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi: identifikasi permasalahan melalui wawancara dan observasi, perencanaan kegiatan edukasi, edukasi lapang yang dilakukan melalui kunjungan edukatif pada sistem Integrated Farming.pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep pertanian berkelanjutan dan praktik zero waste farming, keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk, serta meningkatnya kesadaran terhadap pentingnya pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara efisien. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi pertanian terpadu berbasis praktik lapang efektif dalam menumbuhkan minat dan kemampuan generasi muda untuk menjadi agen regenerasi petani yang inovatif, adaptif, dan berwawasan lingkungan
