CORRECTION & RETRACTION POLICY

A. Commitment to Scholarly Integrity

Reswara: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is fully committed to preserving the integrity, reliability, and academic reputation of every published community service article. We recognize that in some instances, honest errors or academic misconduct may be identified post-publication. To address this, we enforce transparent and documented formal procedures in alignment with the national guidelines of Juknis Akreditasi 2026 and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards.

B. Correction Mechanism (Correction / Erratum / Corrigendum)

Corrections are implemented when unintentional honest errors are identified that do not compromise the scientific integrity or the primary conclusions of the article.
  1. Erratum: Issued if the error is entirely due to technical negligence by the editorial or publishing team (e.g., typographical errors in author names, tables, or page numbers).
  2. Corrigendum: Issued if the error stems from author oversight (e.g., minor errors in describing evaluation parameters or supporting instruments).
  3. Procedure: The editorial team will publish an official correction notice digitally linked to the original manuscript through its DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The original PDF will remain accessible but will clearly feature the correction footnote.

C. Retraction Policy

A retraction is an official withdrawal of an already published article due to severe academic misconduct or fatal scientific errors that render the program's data and conclusions completely unreliable.
  1. Retraction Criteria: An article will be retracted if there is clear evidence of:
    • Severe plagiarism or multiple simultaneous submissions.
    • Data fabrication (inventing program data, participant attendance, or faking activity photos).
    • Data falsification (manipulating success percentages or program indicators).
    • Invalid authorship or authorship manipulation.
  2. Display Regulations (In Compliance with Juknis Akreditasi 2026):
    • Retracted articles will not be deleted or removed from the journal’s website and digital archives.
    • The original PDF of the manuscript will remain in the OJS database, but must be watermarked with "RETRACTED" clearly and prominently across every page.
    • An official Retraction Notice explaining the reasons and the declaring party will be published openly and digitally linked directly to the article's DOI.

D. Manuscript Withdrawal

Withdrawal only applies to drafts that have not been officially published (which are still in submission, peer-review, or copyediting stages).
  • Reswara Special Note: In line with our editorial policy, manuscripts that do not/have not conformed to the official writing template from the beginning will be immediately REJECTED during desk review, or returned for immediate revision if the issues are minor before proceeding to the peer-review process
