PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA APARATUR SIPIL NEGARA DI KELURAHAN TANAH 600 KECAMATAN MEDAN MARELAN DI KOTA MEDAN
Abstract
The performance of employees at the Tanah 600 Village Head Office, Medan Marelan District is still relatively low. This situation can be seen from the lack of optimal service provision because it is deemed unable to provide in accordance with what the community receives, the absence of education and training programs, the lack of human resources and the lack of infrastructure for employees. The research method used is a descriptive method, while the data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results of this research indicate that the leadership role of Tanah 600 Medan Marelan Subdistrict is classified as good in terms of informational, supervisory, decision making, and interpersonal leadership. The performance of employees at the Tanah 600 Medan Marelan Subdistrict Office is considered good in terms of quantity of work. , quality of work, level of presence, cooperation and use of time, but still relatively lacking in aspects of productivity, problem solving initiative, and responsibility for work so that it is completed on time. The leadership of the Tanah 600 Subdistrict Head of Medan Marelan District has played a role in improving employee performance from the aspect of knowledge regarding work quantity, work quality, level of attendance and use of time as well as employee productivity. It is recommended that leaders need to try to create motivation by providing recognition or praise for employee work successes as a form of positive motivation. Leaders need to actively maintain communication channels by trying to develop employees' ability to communicate in language that is easy to understand and eliminate the stiffness of subordinates in communicating with superiors. Leaders need to spend more time monitoring the implementation of work in terms of supervising their employees, so that employees feel that the leadership is making an assessment of all the efforts made in the process of completing work even in difficult conditions.
