PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN PENILAIAN KINERJA TERHADAP PRESTASI KERJA KARYAWAN PADA PT. JNE CABANG MEDAN

Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to explain the Effect of Leadership Style and Performance Appraisal on Employee Job Performance at PT. JNE Medan Branch. The sampling technique in this study were 86 employee respondents at PT. JNE Medan Branch. The type of data used is quantitative data (data expressed in numerical form) in the form of figures from respondents' answers. In addition, qualitative data (data not stated in descriptive form) were also collected, namely data about the company's history, vision and mission, and a general description of the company and the information needed to support this research. Data collection methods for thesis writing are as follows: questionnaire and documentation. The results of testing the first hypothesis indicate that the leadership style tcount> ttable = 5.309> 2.052. Based on the results obtained, H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected for the influence of leadership style variables. Thus, partially that the influence of leadership style variables has a significant positive effect on employee performance at PT. JNE Medan Branch., This shows the more appropriate leadership style, the work performance will also increase. In testing the second hypothesis shows that the performance appraisal t> table = 2,228> 2,052. Based on the results obtained, H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected for the effect of performance evaluation variables. Thus, partially that the variable effect of performance appraisal has a significant positive effect on employee performance at PT. JNE Medan Branch., This shows the more appropriate performance appraisals, the work performance will also increase. The results of the F Test in this study are known to be the value of Fcount> Fcount 41.500> 3.11. Thus it can be concluded that the simultaneously leadership style and performance appraisal significantly influence the work performance of employees at PT.
