ANALISIS DAN EVALUASI KINERJA JARINGAN KOMPUTER DENGAN METODE QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI WIRESHARK DI SMA NEGERI 9 KOTA TASIKMALAYA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menyalakan kinerja jaringan komputer di SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya menggunakan metode Quality of Service (QoS). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya beberapa permasalahan jaringan seperti koneksi WiFi yang tidak stabil, keterbatasan bandwidth sebesar 130 Mbps, serta penggunaan satu sumber internet. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas jaringan serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis QoS dengan parameter Throughput, Delay, Jitter, dan Packet Loss yang diukur menggunakan aplikasi Wireshark. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pengukuran langsung di tiga lokasi yaitu ruang guru, ruang wakasek dan TU, serta area lobi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai Throughput berbeda di setiap lokasi, dengan kinerja terbaik terdapat di ruang guru. Parameter Delay dan Jitter berada dalam kategori sangat baik yang menunjukkan kestabilan jaringan. Namun, nilai Packet Loss di ruang guru mencapai 7,8% yang termasuk kategori sedang. Secara keseluruhan, kinerja jaringan tergolong baik namun belum merata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan optimalisasi bandwidth, penambahan sumber internet, serta pembaruan perangkat jaringan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan.
