CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN THE ANIMATION ADIT SOPO JARWO EPISODE OF NOBLE MORALS, EVERYONE IS HAPPY

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the character education values contained in the animated series Adit Sopo Jarwo, episode Noble Morals, Everyone is Happy, (2) describe how these values are constructed within the episode, (3) identify the forms of character displayed by the characters, and (4) examine the implications of these values for character education in schools. This research employs a qualitative library research design with a content analysis method. Primary data were obtained through repeated viewing and transcription of dialogues and scenes in the episode, while secondary data were derived from relevant books, journal articles, and previous studies. Data were analyzed by identifying character-related indicators in each scene, classifying them according to character education values, and interpreting them through the perspective of akhlak mulia (Islamic noble morals). The findings show six dominant character education values embedded in the episode: religiosity, honesty, curiosity, appreciation of achievement, environmental and social care, and friendliness/cooperation. These values are constructed through four processes, namely teaching, modelling, habituation, and motivation, which are consistently reflected in the characters' dialogues and actions. The study concludes that the Adit Sopo Jarwo animation can serve as an effective medium for internalizing character values that are congruent with Islamic akhlak, and recommends its integration into thematic learning, extracurricular activities, and school habituation programs.
