INCREASING THE LEARNING INTEREST OF CLASS VII-1 STUNDENTS IN THE AL-QURAN HADITH SUBJECT AT MTS BABUL ULUM PAJAK RAMBE MEDAN LABUHAN
Abstract
This study aims to determine (1) the learninginterest of seventh gradestudentsinAl-QuranHadithsubjectsbeforetheapplication of inquiry strategies; (2) To determine the learning interest of seventhgradestudentsinAl-QuranHadithsubjectsincycleIafter the application of inquiry learning strategies; (3) Todeterminethe learning interest of seventh grade students in Al-Quran Hadith subjects in cycle II after the application of inquiry learning strategies; (4) To find out the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing inquiry learning strategies. The method that researchers use in this study is to use the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with data analysis techniques. Analysis is done by collecting all the results of question naires and interview sobtained from information. The results of data analysis showed that there was anincreasein the learning interest of students in class VII Babul Ulum Pajak Rambe Medan starting from theimplementation of pre-action to cycleII. (1) Pre-action results showed that the average individual score was 25%; (2) In cycle Ishowed anincrease whereindividual students were 55%; (3) The results of cycleII reached an average of 80%; (4) The obstacles faced by teachers in applying inquiry strategies are; (a) Difficulty controlling student activities and success; (b) Difficulty planning learning because it collides with students' habits in learning; (c) Teachers lack application through technology.
