UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA POKOK BAHASAN PERSAMAAN KUADRAT DENGAN MENERAPKAN PEMBELAJARAN MODEL NOVICK PADA SISWA KELAS X MIPA 4 MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI 3 MEDAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2020/2021

Abstract


This research is based on the following problems: (a) Does the Novick Model Learning have an effect on learning outcomes in Mathematics? (b) How high is the level of mastery of the subject matter of Subject Mathematics with the implementation of the Novick Model Learning method? The aims of this study are: (a) To reveal the effect of Novick's learning model on mathematics learning outcomes. (b) Want to know how far the understanding and mastery of the subject matter of the subject of Mathematics is after the implementation of the Novick Model Learning model. This research uses three cycles of action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is the students of Class X MIPA 4 MAN 3 Medan. The data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis it was found that student learning achievement has increased from cycle I to cycle III, namely, cycle I (62%), cycle II (78%), cycle III (96 %). The conclusion of this study is that the cooperative method of the Novick model can have a positive effect on the learning motivation of students in class X MIPA 4 MAN 3 Medan, and this learning model can be used as an alternative in learning mathematics.
