Problem solving is a deviation between what should have happened and something that actually happened, so the cause needs to be found and verified. Decision making is making an assessment and making choices. This decision was taken after going through several calculations and alternative considerations. Before the choice is made, there are several stages that the decision maker may go through. These stages may include identifying the main problem, compiling alternatives to be selected and arriving at the best decision making. Many who say problem solving is the most important activity a manager performs is an oversimplified picture. Work in solving or solving problems is much more complicated than just problem solving, other activities such as communication are equally important. However, problem solving is one of the main activities that often determines the success or failure of a management careerReferensi
