Sebagai sebuah proses pendidikan haruslah senantiasa dievaluasi. Tujuannya tidak lain adalah menjamin keterlaksanaan proses dan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan yang dilakukan. Islam sebagai sistem pengatur kehidupan manusia yang paripurna, di dalamnya mengharapkan agar setiap umatnya untuk mengatur persoalan kehidupan berbasis pada nilai-nilai dan filosofis Islam termasuk persoalan pendidikan salah satu unsurnya adalah evaluasi pendidikan.
