Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang upaya yang dilakukan pengawas dalam meningkatkan kemampuan professional guru melalui supervisi klinis. Belum berfungsinya supervisi klinis secara optimal pada Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Ml) di Kabupaten Langkat, mendorong peneliti untuk mengungkap permasalahan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran yang jelas tentang pelaksaanaan supervise klinis pengawas madrasah terhadap guru-guru. Pendekatan dalam penilitian ini adalah naturalistik kualitatif (Bogdan dan Biklen, 1982), Kegiatan supervise klinis yang dilakukan pengawas dapat membantu guru untuk pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran yang berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan kinerja guru.
