Peran Guru BK dalam Meningkatkan Disiplin Siswa di MTS PAB 1 Helvetia

Abstrak

Students at MTS PAB 1 Helvetia Medan indicated that there were students who committed violations of school rules. Violations that are often committed by students include coming to school late, wearing uniforms untidy, throwing rubbish out of place. These violations are often committed by students, so teachers do not record these violations in the school rules violation book. In connection with this, there are many disciplinary violations committed by MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students. The aims of this research are (1) To find out the role and responsibilities of the Guidance Counseling Teacher in improving the discipline of MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students, (2) To find out the strategy of the Guidance Counseling Teacher in instilling discipline in MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students, (3) To find out the obstacles encountered by BK teachers in improving student discipline at MTS PAB 1 Helvetia.This research is qualitative field research, namely research intended to understand the phenomena observed by the researcher in discussing this thesis. The author uses a method that is descriptive analysis, namely a method that aims to focus on discussing and solving problems that exist at the time. now by collecting and analyzing data objectively. Here the author analyzes and describes the role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers in improving the discipline of MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students.The research results show that: (1) The Role and Responsibilities of Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Improving Discipline of MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students are very good in improving student discipline, (2) The Guidance and Counseling Teacher's strategies and methods in instilling discipline in MTS PAB 1 Helvetia students in various ways such as (a) Directing time discipline (b) Guiding responsibility for oneself, (c) solving problems for students, (3) Obstacles for Guidance Teachers in Improving Student Discipline at MTS PAB 1 Helvetia, namely Students are not fully open to the guidance and counseling teacher regarding the problems they are facing, students do not feel free to express their problems.
