Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tilawati method in improving the quality of Qur'an recitation among students at the TPQ of the Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah Mosque in Batam City, focusing on tajweed, fluency, makharijul huruf (letter articulation), and rhythm. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, through field research using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Tilawati method is effective in improving the quality of Qur'an recitation, as shown by improved tajweed mastery, reading fluency, and the ability to recite the rost rhythm. Its advantages lie in the combination of classical and individual approaches, systematic instructional media, and repeated practice, which enhance student motivation, engagement, and self-confidence. This method also helps students understand the reading in a more structured manner, making the learning process more focused and easier to follow. Therefore, the Tilawati method is suitable for implementation as an effective Qur'an learning solution at TPQ.
